It goes without saying that this winter has been exceptionally cold and long for Ontarians. Though a short time ago it seemed as though it would never stop snowing, Spring is finally rearing it’s cheery head. The ice has melted, the days are becoming longer and there’s no denying that the scent of Spring is in the air. And with that means the time for bikinis, sunglasses, shorts, tanned skin and yes, patios, is quite near. Is there truly any better way to spend a warm summer evening than on one of Toronto’s various rooftop patios? Warm weather in the Great White North is here for a limited time only, so ensure you’re fully prepared for patio season by reading our list of Toronto’s hottest, most unique spots:

Hemingway’s

Sports, pub food and no dress code. You simply can’t go wrong with a visit to this classic pub. Hemingway’s sits atop trendy Yorkville and makes for an unbeatable people watching perch. Did we mention their draught list is nothing short of impressive?

Le Papillon on the Park

This chic patio spot is all about the green. Step outside your stuffy office and spend an hour or two alongside the trees and indulge in some French fare for an immediate mood boost. You’ll feel like your up at the cottage right in the middle of the city. What’s not to love?

The Queen and Beaver

The Q & B is a cozy, sweet spot that offers diners both a fun, exciting night out and an intimate hang out for couples. Located near Yonge and Dundas, the Q & B has typical (but delicious) rural English pub fare. Or, choose to try their specialty tasting menu, which allows all diners to share a family style dinner at a reasonable price. But don’t even think of visiting Q & B without ordering the Sticky Toffee Pudding.

The Roof Lounge at the Park Hyatt

Arguably Toronto’s nicest rooftop spot, The Roof Lounge is located on the 18th floor of the Park Hyatt hotel in Yorkville and boasts some pretty gorgeous views. This luxurious summer time terrace is an excellent spot for date night and calls for smart-casual attire. Plus, their light tasting menu is perfect for a warm spring or summer evening out.

Vivoli

If you’re a fan of Sangria, casual settings and views overlooking Little Italy, Vivoli could be the rooftop patio for you. Located near Grace and College, Vivoli boasts authentic pizza, Italian cuisine and you might find yourself never wanting to leave this trendy little spot.

Cube Nightclub

More of a nightclub person? Cube Nightclub is the perfect rooftop patio for a fun night out. New, sophisticated and inspired by seventies design, Cube’s rooftop patio is scheduled to open in early May. So, if you feel like dancing the evening away a top the best city in the world- this Queen St. abode certainly fits the bill.
