Come listen to budget experts and engage in the city’s hottest topics including recreation, transportation, shelter and housing, and grant funding. Doors Open at 5:00pm with refreshments and an introduction from the TYC. Better Budget Toronto will explain the City of Toronto’s budget process to newcomers, before the TYC presents a breakdown of the major budgetary issues for youth in the city. Topics have been chosen through feedback from young people, youth-service organizations, and committee members. From there, guests will break into groups for discussion and present their conclusions. The night will close with a full panel discussion which will influence the Cabinet’s City Council presentation on December 2nd and 3rd. Everyone should have a say in how their city is run.
