She shoots, she scores!!!

This rang true today for the Canadian Women’s Hockey team in a nail-biting game that extended into overtime . Team USA scored first early in the second period and widened the gap even further in the third on a power play goal, giving them a two goal lead. With three and a half minutes left in the third period we saw the Team Canada we know and love start to come alive. Team Canada’s Brianne Jenner got her first goal of the tournament, cutting the lead to one goal. Both teams continued to play some very exciting hockey with several scoring opportunities at both ends of the ice. With just under a minute left in the game, Canada pulled the goalie and Marie-Philip Poulin scored the ever-so-important tying goal!
